Volunteer and Internship Opporunities
Our school is a wonderful place to volunteer and receive free training and professional development in child care, child development, or related skills. We also have internships and apprentice opportunities in numerous areas related to international studies, business, technology, etc. All staff, volunteers, and interns must clear an FBI, and fingerprint background check.
Teacher's Assistant
Location:
On-Site at Sunshine Learning Academy
Hours:
Monday-Thursday 8:00am -3:30pm through Fridays 8:00am-12:30pm
Position Overview:
Our newly established school is seeking a dynamic and versatile part-time teacher to join our dedicated team. We are looking for experienced educators or individuals with relevant degrees who are enthusiastic about learning how to teach.
The ideal candidate is energized and eager to work with children. Experience is not necessary, but the willingness to learn skills and tragedies that support students academic success is necessary. Must be comfortable and familiar with Muslims and the Islamic faith. Extra consideration for candidates that have a skill that may be shared with students. This role requires a flexible, individual who possesses a passion for education, creativity, and strong computer skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Duties: Teach Math, Science, ELA, and Social Studies to students across various grades, tailoring instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Lesson Planning: Develop and implement creative and effective lesson plans that align with the curriculum and foster a stimulating learning environment.
Student Engagement: Utilize innovative teaching strategies to maintain student interest and engagement in the subjects taught.
Assessment: Regularly assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
Classroom Management: Create and maintain a positive and orderly classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience and address any student needs or concerns.
Communication: Maintain clear and open communication with students, parents, and colleagues, particularly in both English and Arabic.
Technology Integration: Utilize computer skills to incorporate technology into the classroom, enhance lesson delivery, and manage educational tools and resources.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field.
Experience: Proven experience teaching multiple subjects across different grade levels. Experience in a private or micro-school setting is a plus.
Language Skills: Fluent in both English, ability to read, write, and speak Arabic is a plus.
Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency with educational software and digital tools. Ability to integrate technology into teaching.
Personal Traits: Energetic, creative, and adaptable with a genuine passion for teaching and working with students. Must be flexible and open to adjusting teaching methods as needed.

Work Environment:
This is a part-time position requiring 4 hours of work per day, 5 days a week. The role involves working in a supportive and innovative micro-school environment.
